『 ABOUT 』
Character Name: Gig Series: Soul Nomad & the World Eaters (aka Soul Cradle) Gender: Male Age: Unknown, but being what he is he’s probably thousands of years old. Appearance wise he looks like someone in their late teens/early twenties. Species: (Demi) God/Master of Death Sexuality: Not interested.
『 APPEARANCE 』
Just by looking at Gig you probably won’t ever guess what he truly is. He’s scrawny and nothing about him looks particularly impressive, though you could say his attitude makes up for it. He has messy short grayish hair with a bang that often covers his right eye. His eyes being a cold dark blue and his skin an almost sickly pale-gray. On both his cheeks he has two neon-blue stripes right below his eyes.
His attire is very simple and he definitely doesn’t dress to impress. After all, why would anyone need to if they had the powers of a god? He wears a simple sleeveless light purple vest with a collar that has four white x’s on the front. It’s a little split at the end and the front fabric has been tied in two knots. His pants and gentleman’s shoes are both of a gray-blueish colour. Furthermore he wears four, presumably leather, dark purple cuffs. Two around each wrist and another a few inches below those.
The only thing really weird and noticeable about Gig are the slightly wing-shaped ‘rocks’ wrapped around him that are joined together at front and back but don’t actually touch Gig, they float. They kind of look like folded wings, or armour, with three digits hanging of both ends. Only one of the digits touches the wings, the rest floats separate of it. The wings look even more armour-like because of the steely blue colour it has. Dark magenta lines run along the surface. It’s hollow and the inside looks a more softer purplish colour while the digits are dark purple.
『 PERSONALITY 』
Gig could easily be described in one word: jerk. He’s just one gigantic cocky jerk who doesn’t care about others or what they have to say. In his mind every living thing is just a pawn for him to move as he pleases.
He never sugarcoats anything...or rather he just hardly has anything nice to say. He just loves to lie but does tend to be more bluntly honest. When he is, most of the time it’s really the brutal kind of honest and not the nice kind. He won’t let pride get in the way of things though. For example, he might hate your guts but your cooking is delicious? Gig won’t hesitate to say so. If it’s delicious it’s delicious and that’s that. Who cares who made it.
He lives by the principle of “do what you want, when you want” and even though he considers himself to be evil through and through, he thinks of things like kidnapping and backstabbing as cowardly. Hell, he won’t ever forgive backstabbing. That’s one sure way to seriously piss him off.
His traveling with the hero has changed him however. He’s mellowed out a bit so he’s not quite as bad as he makes himself out to be anymore. He might even have started caring about his ‘minions’ a little. But you’ll never hear him say that out loud. This change might either be because of the hero’s influence or because he remembers the memories of his past life as Vigilance, where he had been soft, compassionate and kind and generally just the complete opposite of what he is now.
If you can see past his insults and the fact he’ll hardly ever call you by name, he’s not too bad to get along with. If you know Gig well enough you’ll even be able to see past his lies (usually he laughs at the end of the sentence when he’s lying, hehe). Another way of being able to tell he’s not all that bad is the fact he’ll stick to his promises.
『ABILITIES 』
Gig has unfathomable power. Not having your own body kinda spoils that though. An example of his tremendous power is when the hero accepts to use some of Gig’s powers and it raises him 2000 levels. And that’s only a minuscule sliver of his power too. He can even dominate people. Which means he shapes a manikin of them and places that manikin in a dimensional space he has created. Once he’s got dominion over someone he can summon them any time, anywhere. But he can only do it with that person’s consent.
He’ll have a body of his own in Manhattan but that’s not going to help him one bit. The only thing of his power that will still function is the ability to shape his ‘wings’ into a scythe he uses for attacking. He’ll need a base material for this and his wings will just wrap around it and form something of a half-scythe. (Normally he can just wrap it around his arm too but not here~) He can also, for the lack of a better word, spread his wings to make them look like actual wings with which he can float and summon a larger full-blown scythe. This is much more powerful but he can only hold that form for a very limited amount of time and it’ll drain his energy like woah. No more dominating for him either.
『WEAKNESSES 』
HOTPODS. Okay not really...well, maybe a little. Gig takes an obsessive interest in hotpods. It’s his most favourite food in the world(s). He can be easily won over or distracted by the promise of delicious hotpods. Alas Manhattan does not hold such delicacies so this is rather irrelevant.
You could say his attitude is a weakness. It sure as hell won’t win any favours from anyone. No longer being nearly all-powerful or in somebody else’s body will probably force him to face the consequences of his big mouth sooner or later too. Not that he’s going to care. Gig also doesn’t quite understand human emotions, he’s come a long way but there’s some things he probably still doesn’t understand. He has always considered friends and family to be mindless distractions. Never having had a mother, the concept of family is beyond him. Oh and technology, his world didn’t have any.
Of course there’s the whole reduced power thing that will be a major weakness for him and his body is very much alike a human’s.

『HISTORY 』
((Warning: Big-ass SPOILERS))
Gig’s history starts with his descend from Drazil to Haephnes. Bringing along with him three merry World Eaters who proceeded to devastate the land, annihilating everything in sight under the Master of Death’s command. His rampage was stopped when a brave lady known as Layna the Firebrand put a stop to his actions and sealed him into a sword where he would rest for 200 years. With their master gone the three behemoths also lay dormant.
Those 200 years later take us to a small secluded village known as the Hidden Village. Here we meet the hero (who you can either pick to be a girl or boy but as I’ve played the hero to be a he, Gig shall also know Revya as a guy) and his childhood friend Danette. They have trained their entire life to be town guardians and now is finally the time. Lady Layna calls them before her and usually a town guardian gets to pick his or her weapon. However Revya is only granted one weapon; a beautiful onyx blade.
Gig’s blade.
Upon touching it Revya is infused with Gig’s soul. Layna figured no one but Gig can defeat the World Eaters but of course Gig would never do such a thing of his own free will thus he gets to reside in Revya’s body. Revya gets to use Gig’s powers, but at a price. Use too much of the god’s powers and Gig could take over his body. With the hope that wouldn’t happen Layna sends him out into the world to defeat the World Eaters.
On their journey and a while after the fusion they started having dreams about a past Revya can’t remember and Gig’s past life in which he was a completely different person known as Vigilance. It was because of Vigilance’s gentle nature the goddess Haephnes appointed him as the Master of Death who would help ferry across the souls of the dead. But because humans want to beat death, a certain man known as Lord Median did so. He beat Vigilance and in return got killed by Virtuous (the Master of Life). Drazil resurrected Vigilance’s soul and it was then he became the Gig we all get to know and love. This all he started remembering through the dreams which Revya got to see along with him.
After a lot of journeying, defeating World Eaters, revealing conspiracy plots, betrayals and lots of revelations and the like they wind up having to go to Drazil to restore the flow of souls in Haephnes. Which is just what Revya and Gig were about to do, jumping into the portal that would take them there but Gig suddenly finds himself rather rudely separated from his soulmate and somewhere that is most definitely not Drazil.
